Show Up Early Enough to Be Ready

The smoothest classes start before class actually starts. Arrive early enough to check in, grab your station, fill your water, and settle down without making the room frantic. Walking in at the last second stresses both you and the staff.

If you are brand new, give yourself even more time so the coach can help without rushing.

Share Space Like a Grown-Up

Floor stations are close, weight racks are shared, and not every studio has endless duplicate dumbbells. Put weights back where they belong, step carefully during transitions, and do not spread gear into your neighbor's area unless class setup clearly allows it.

If you need a heavier weight from another station, ask quickly and return it fast. That tiny courtesy makes crowded classes run much better.

Keep Screens, Phones, and Chatter Under Control

During class, the coach's cues should be the loudest thing in the room. Side conversations, constant screen checking, and phone use break focus for everyone around you. If you need to take an urgent call, step out.

Good energy is great. Full-volume personal commentary through every all-out is not.

Respect the Waitlist and Late-Cancel Reality

If you know you cannot make class, cancel as early as possible. OTF waitlists move quickly, and late decisions often cost another member the chance to get in. The late-cancel policy may be studio-enforced, but the courtesy behind it is community-enforced.

Treat booked classes like real appointments, not tentative wishes.

Leave the Room Better Than You Found It

Wipe down equipment, rerack weights, and do not disappear while your station is still a mess. Coaches and staff already move fast to turn rooms around.

The best etiquette rule is simple: if everyone copied your behavior for the whole class, would the room feel smoother or worse?
